Character designs. A few more characters in my ever-expanding Funrama universe. I have many characters. some are important. some not. I’m not showing them all yet. Jut the characters that will appear in the first set of stories. I’m working on this comic just for myself. No publisher. No audience. For no one, but me. What a great feeling.
Raccoon
Raccoon (real name Rachel Larson) was born with a degenerate eye disease that causes her eyes to be sensitive to sunlight. Although she is blind during the day, her handicap allows her to see uncannily well at night. Doomed to wear a special black eye-make up to absorb the sun’s harmful rays away from her pupils, she takes on the name Raccoon. When she’s not in school during the day, she is perfecting her skills in Circus Juventas, a youth performing arts circus, as an expert acrobat and tight rope walker. If that wasn’t enough, she is secretly using her night-vision and abilities as an amateur detective crime fighter into the late hours of the night. Just when burnout begins to take hold of her, she is thrown into the world of Funrama where she’ll be caught up in an epic struggle that will completely change the world as we know it.
Note: I still haven’t decided Raccoon’s hair style . It might be shorter than seen here.
Flora
Flora is Raccoon’s best friend and closest confident. Flora has the psychic ability to control plants and make them do what ever she wants, even gestate and grow plants from basic materials at an alarming rate. Flora can psychically connect with all flora and plant life and use them as her eyes and ears. She can quickly lethalize various plants when she’s threatened or in danger and use them as weapons. Flora and Raccoon eventually share a dorm in college and she helps Raccoon in her detective adventures.
Freakshow
Freakshow is a living apparition. He’s a sentient being that can electrically transmit people’s thoughts and light into any imagery he wishes. Thus, he can turn his body into any holographic form. Freakshow follows Raccoon around and gives her advice and aids Raccoon’s crime fighting by creating distractions, decoys, and scaring off villains.
Jaguar
Jaguar has super speed, the ability to run and move extremely fast. Like Raccoon, Jaguar uses powers for nocturnal crime fighting. But their personalities clash, as he’s arrogant and cocky and she’s cautious and a loner. When Jaguar attempts romantic advances toward Raccoon, will she reciprocate the feelings or ignore him, too busy with her hectic life?
Note: Still working on Jaguar’s hair and costume. I’m not satisfied yet, I’m still working on his look.
